Banner Graphics

Versatile, high-impact and cost-effective.

Banner graphics are a flexible way to promote brand messages, events and seasonal campaigns. They install quickly. They travel well. They work indoors and outdoors. At Benson Signs, we design, print and finish banners in-house for a fast, reliable turnaround. Based in Liverpool since 1969, we supply single sites and national programmes across the UK.

You’ll see our banner work in retail stores, restaurants, pubs, hotels, offices, schools, museums, stadiums and logistics hubs. Each project is built around your brand, your site conditions and the visibility you need.

Design, Compliance & Planning

A clear brief and the right specification make banner graphics work harder.

Design support

We supply scaled visuals, colour proofs and print-ready templates. Our team matches brand colours and ensures legibility at the planned viewing distance. For complex sites, we can provide photo montages to show impact before production.

Surveys

For lamp posts, scaffolds or large frames, we carry out measurements, substrate checks and access planning. This confirms safe fixing points and the most suitable hardware.

Planning and permissions

Many temporary banners do not need Advertisement Consent, but lamp post schemes and longer campaigns can be regulated by local authorities. We advise case by case and can prepare drawings where required.

Compliance and safety

We specify low-smoke, fire-rated materials for internal venues. External installs use rated fixings and tension systems. For high-level work we plan access with MEWPs or scaffold and supply full RAMS.

Materials & Build Quality

Banners need to look sharp and stand up to handling and weather. We print and finish using materials that balance quality, strength and value.

Why Choose Benson Signs for Hanging Signs?

We’ve worked with illuminated signs for decades, starting with neon and evolving to today’s LED technology. That gives us the knowledge to build systems that last and to modernise older signs when needed.

Frequently Ask Questions

Do banners need planning permission?

Temporary banners often do not, but local policies vary. Lamp post campaigns and long-term displays can require consent. We assess your site and advise on the correct approach.

With UV inks and proper fixing, everyday banners perform well for medium-term campaigns. Heavy-duty grades and sheltered sites extend lifespan. Coastal or high-sun locations may benefit from higher-weight PVC or protective laminates.

Mesh reduces wind loading by allowing air to pass through the face. It is ideal for scaffolds, fences and exposed elevations. Very large spans still need careful tensioning and secure fixings. We can add webbing and reinforced corners for extra security.

Yes. We provide banner frames, lamp post arm kits, bungee cords, cable ties and safety straps. We also offer premium roller banner stands and pop-up displays with carry bags and cases.

Standard hem and eyelets work with bungees or cable ties. For masonry we can use frame tracks or stand-off bars. For fences, heavy-duty ties and anti-twist fixings prevent sagging and tearing.

Lamp post banners and some frame systems can be printed double-sided. For standard PVC, we recommend two single-sided prints back-to-back when maximum opacity is required.

Yes. We run calibrated UV and latex workflows and supply colour-matched proofs on the chosen substrate. This helps maintain consistency across multi-site rollouts.

We do. Our teams hold IPAF, PASMA and CSCS qualifications and work across the UK, including retail parks, stadiums, universities and city centres.

We specify certified fire-retardant materials for indoor use. Many event spaces and hotels require FR certification. We provide documentation with your order.

We prioritise recyclable substrates and efficient print processes. Offcuts are segregated for recycling where possible. To learn more about how we reduce waste and energy, visit our sustainability and environmental practices.

Yes. For seasonal retail or hospitality campaigns we can store, rotate and re-install graphics.

We can supply templates, check artwork and create designs that read clearly at distance.
