Bold, visible and built for the outdoors.

Lamp post banners are one of the most effective ways to bring colour and energy to a street or outdoor space. They’re designed to stand tall and catch the eye without taking up any ground space. Lamp post banners offer a clear, professional way to get your message seen.

Also known as street pole banners, these signs are a popular choice for retail parks, campuses, events, and other busy outdoor spaces. They make branding and seasonal promotions easy to display and update as you can swap them out while brackets remain in place.

Key Features

Materials & Build Options

Lamp post banners are built to perform outdoors, with materials chosen to withstand the UK climate.

PVC

Strong, flexible and weather-resistant. Available in different weights (typically 440gsm, 510gsm or 720gsm) depending on how exposed the site is. Heavier PVC gives added strength in busy or windy areas.

Mesh PVC

Designed for very windy conditions. The small perforations allow air to pass through, reducing strain on the brackets while still showing off bold graphics.

Polyester fabric

Print is applied using high-resolution UV or latex technology, producing sharp detail and vibrant colour that resists fading. Finishing options include stitched hems, reinforced eyelets, pole pockets and optional wind-spill cut-outs for maximum durability.

Not sure which material is best? Our team will recommend the right option for your site conditions.

Size & Specification Guide

Standard banner sizes include:

450 x 1500 mm

Slim and tall, ideal for narrow lamp posts.

600 x 1800 mm

The most common size, suitable for most campaigns.

800 x 2000 mm

Large and highly visible for main roads or wide pedestrian routes.

Custom sizes can be made to suit specific lamp post spacing or unique requirements. Most banners are double-sided, making them visible from both directions of traffic.

Bracket arms are typically 600–800 mm in width, but can be custom-fabricated if your lamp posts have unusual spacing.

Mounting & Fixing Options

Lamp post banners are supplied with specialist banner arms that secure the panel to the post. Brackets are made from powder-coated steel or aluminium and designed to withstand wind load. Options include:

All fixings are tested for strength and safety to ensure long-term use in outdoor environments.

  • Banners are quick and cost-effective to replace, ideal for seasonal promotions
  • Reinforced options are available for windy areas or exposed sites
  • UV-resistant inks keep colours sharp, even with outdoor exposure
  • Brackets can usually be reused with new banners, reducing long-term costs

Installation is simple but must be carried out safely at height.

The banner arms are attached to the lamp post using strong banding or clamps. The banner is then slid into pole pockets at the top and bottom for even tension. If spring-loaded arms are used, they should be fitted to allow controlled flex in windy conditions.

For safety reasons, we recommend professional installation. Our team installs lamp post banners nationwide.

Lamp post banners are built for long-term use, but regular checks help extend their life. Inspect brackets and fixings every few months to ensure they remain secure. Banners can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent to remove dirt or pollution build-up.

For seasonal campaigns, we recommend rotating banners throughout the year to keep displays fresh. Brackets can remain in place permanently, while the banners are swapped out when needed.

We also provide maintenance and change-out services, including reprints, replacements and upgrades.

Assembly Instructions

Putting up a banner doesn’t take long. Start by fixing it evenly across the top and bottom using the supplied fittings. For ceiling or lamp post installations, follow the instructions provided with the kit to ensure a safe and secure fit. Larger banners are easier to manage with two people, as this helps keep the tension even across the surface. Prefer us to handle it? Our team can install banners nationwide.
