Benson Signs was founded by Chris Benson in Liverpool. What started as a small independent shop quickly earned a name for quality workmanship and personal service. Many knew us as “The Liverpool Sign Company,” trusted by businesses throughout the North West.
Five years later, we became a Limited Company. This allowed us to grow, take on bigger contracts and expand our customer base across the UK.
As demand increased, so did our capabilities. In 1989, we moved into a 50,000 square foot facility in Liverpool’s northern docks. The new space gave us room to invest in high-end machinery and broaden our in-house services.
After 53 years of leadership, Chris Benson retired and the company joined the LPW Group. We kept our same experienced team and continued operating from our Liverpool site. Our values remain the same, as does our commitment to excellent service and quality.
Today, Benson Signs is a nationwide signage partner for some of the UK’s biggest names. We also work with independent businesses, schools, museums, councils and charities. Whatever the size or sector, we provide a full service from concept to completion.
